Sick

Hey guys lately I haven't been feeling all that well. Actually I upchucked yesterday and today was recovery. Luckily I do feel a lot better. I haven't written since my last post because of being sick and not wanting to upchuck on my novel and whatnot. I will hopefully have a new page count the next time I blog. I am actually really excited to write now that I know where it is going, or at least think that I know. Off for some late night writing, talk to you all later.

Plot

Unfortunately I have only written one page since the last time that I blogged. Good news is that I have figured out the whole rest of my story. I'm not saying that it will follow my plan but at least I have an idea of where I am going with it.

Hired Help

I have "hired" a family friend to type out my handwritten novel so I have a typed version of it(she is doing it for free). It may sound like I'm being lazy but wait until you hear the best part. I type about 40 wpm and the family friend I have mentioned above types on average about 80 wpm, so having her type up my story is a real big time saver. Giving me more time to write my novel. Speaking of which I have made progress. I am at 30 pages. Still awaiting the arrival of my typewriter ink to continue on Masquerade aka novel #2. Things might be moving a little faster now though because I know pretty much how it is going to go from here on out. I guess I figured that out today when writing the lead up to what is going to be the first real exciting action of my book. I am looking forward to continuing it. Off to write some more. Hopefully I will get some of my story up here soon. Thanks for reading. Till next time...

Found It

Hey guys. Wondering what the  title is about? Well I found a section of In The Dark that I had written a few weeks ago. This plus what I have written during the car trip brings my total page count up to 27 pages. Oh yeah, I am back home in Bloomington MN. We made it home safely. Now that I am home I can crack down, do research, and write my novels in the comfort of my cozy chair. Speaking of research I need to be watching Interview With a Vampire as soon as I am done here. I didn't particularly like it the first time through I have decided to referencing it  in my novel and to make sure that I am accurate I need to watch it again. Well off to watch the movie. Till next time.

On The Road Again

I won't get a chance to write in this blog later because I will be on the road home all day. I will be returning to my cozy home in Minnesota. I will be writing in the car on the way up, and hopefully I won't get motion sick doing so. The funeral is over, the extended family is already on their way home, and my novel has made only slight progress on this trip. I did get some writing done last night. Page count for In The Dark is up to 23pages. Keep in mind that these are hand written pages. The reason I write by hand is because it is harder for me to write on the computer. It is much harder to start writing when staring at a blank screen, for me at least. Plus a written page seems to fill up more quickly and is more gratifying. If I had ink for my typewriter I would write on that but alas it is out of ink. I still need to buy some. I think I will do that when I get home.

Zero Productivity

Everything is still going slowly. My wish for a solid day of writing has yet to come true. To be fair I was at a funeral for most of the day so I have had very little opportunity to write. I imagine things might settle down enough for me to get writing a little later today. Right now we have the whole family gathering together for dinner and conversation. I really hope that I get a chance to write a lot. I really hate going without writing for this long. In fact I like to write either a lot at once or little bits through out the day. I pray that things calm down. Till next time...

Kansas

Hello. I am currently in Kansas for the funeral of my great-grandmother. I had the opportunity to write a little bit on my way down here. It was one long car ride but at least I was a little bit productive. I finished two pages of In The Dark, bringing the total page count of novel #1 to 22 pages. I feel like the writing is going a lot slower than it should. That might be partly because I had to nix two chapters. What happened was I wrote myself into a corner so I dropped two chapters and started again. I wish I could have a good day of solid writing but that doesn't look likely to happen. Here's to hoping.

Hello

Hello to anyone reading this. I have recently decided to start a blog where I can write about my experiences while writing my many novels. If and when I ever finish them and get them published then I will have succeeded in my quest to become a published author. Sadly I did not have this brilliant idea until after I was started on two novels so you are coming into the mix a little late. Sorry. Anyway more about my novels. Novel #1 is titled In the  Dark, but that may change as time goes on. It is about a girl getting hunted down by a vampire. Novel #2 is titled Masquerade and is a romance novel. Unlike novel #1 it is a little more sophisticated and aimed for a more mature audience. It will most likely turn out into a typical romance novel. I do write things about other things than vampires and romance but nothing that has developed into anything that could be made into a novel. Write now I am 20 handwritten pages into novel #1 and about 6 typed pages of novel #2. My goal is to get finished with at least one maybe both by the end of the year. I would like it if you would follow me all the way through. Till next time, bye.
